Early in his career, Lior Maza chose to immerse himself in smaller, venture-backed startups rather than large enterprises—a move that exposed him to a range of responsibilities, from fundraising and recruiting to crisis management. “When you’re in a small team,” Maza tells us, “you end up doing everything, and that’s where the agility mindset really takes root.”
Years later, after honing his skills in larger organizations, he joined Priority Software, an established yet agile cloud ERP firm. Under his guidance, the finance function adopted new performance measurements—focusing on recurring revenue, net retention, and churn—to manage a transition from traditional licensing to a SaaS model. “Agile finance leadership,” Maza tells us, “is about looking beyond immediate metrics and creating frameworks that drive long-term value.”

Rather than rely on rigid processes, he tells us he has depended on real-time data analytics and iterative planning to guide strategic pivots. “The approach,” Maza explains, “has ensured that everything—from capital allocation to technology investments—drives sustainable, profitable growth.” With more than 15,000 customers in 17 countries, Priority’s global footprint continues to expand. “As CFO, my job is not only to track financials, but also to empower cross-functional teams to make informed decisions,” Maza says.
“Fall in love with change. Don’t just adapt; lead it. Position your finance organization as a key driver supporting and accelerating your company’s strategy.” —Lior Maza, CFO, Priority Software
Maza: Priority is primarily a cloud ERP company, established almost four decades ago (in 1996). Although we began as a local champion in the Israeli market, we have evolved into an innovative, global organization. Today, we serve over 15,000 customers across 17 countries, with direct presence in Israel, the US, and Belgium. In addition, we maintain a global network of over 100 business partners, enabling us to serve customers worldwide.
Read MoreOur focus is on empowering organizations to manage their business in a smarter, easier, and more agile manner. Our strategy is based on offering our solutions as a service (SaaS), and we are currently transitioning from a traditional licensing model to SaaS—a significant change for the company.
We provide our product both as an ERP solution and as a platform that delivers a deep, comprehensive solution to meet all our customers’ needs—whether for a small business or a large-scale enterprise. (In other words, we aim to support our customers throughout their entire journey.) To further enhance our portfolio, we have pursued numerous mergers and acquisitions since 2021, completing seven transactions (involving both companies and business units) to expand our range of solutions.
Today, beyond our core Cloud ERP offering, we also provide vertical-specific solutions. In hospitality, for example, we offer a property management system (PMS) for hotels, where we hold a significant market share in Israel and serve customers internationally. In retail, we offer an end-to-end point-of-sale solution that can be implemented as a traditional system, a mobile solution, or (on a proprietary) Q-post system.
