A Pivot Towards Growth
“For the past couple of years, we’ve been very focused on our cost position and in getting our manufacturing footprint the way we desire it. We’re really now beginning to pivot toward more of a growth agenda. The reason that I’m finding this topic so exciting right now is that I think there is a whole different kind of skillset that is required whenever you’re working with the business and are focusing on growth. The first step as we work with the business is making certain that we have the right talent to achieve growth.”
Next Generation of Finance Leader
“Our internal audit function had been outsourced, so last year we made the decision to bring our internal audit function back in house. One of the drivers of this was to really have the internal audit function be a feeder of talent. So as individuals join the organization, they spend some time in internal audit, where they get a very broad perspective involving many parts of the business, and then they may find opportunities to move into other parts.”
